women's perfume

Every year at the office a group of us get together and draw names for Secret Santa. Participation is optional, but so many of us enjoy the fun and games that go along with it that we usually have quite a large group participate. This year is no exception. I generally try to buy a gift for the person that is something that I know they'll like, or if I don't know them that well, I'll buy women's perfume or something that I think will be safe for anyone.

This year I happened to draw the name of a girl in the office that has a love for unique bottles and women's perfume. I have to say that the unique bottles aren't just any kind of bottles, but women's perfume bottles, so I knew it was going to be fun to get her gift this year. Because I don't know her that well, but know that she has a love for odd women's perfume bottles, I decided to make an excuse to go to her home, in hopes that I could get a glimpse of what women's perfume bottles that she already had, that way I wouldn't be duplicating anything. I felt like duplicating what she already had would take some of the fun out of the Secret Santa, so I offered to take her home one evening when she said she was going to have to take the bus because her husband was working and couldn't pick her up. She was gracious for the offer and of course I didn't tell her that I had ulterior motives to look at her collection of women’s perfume bottles by taking her home. Thankfully when we arrived she did invite me to come in for a cup of coffee, otherwise my efforts would have been futile if she had not. While I was there, I excused myself to the ladies room where I hoped she had the women's perfume bottles displayed, and as soon as I walked into the restroom, I saw the women’s perfume bottles all lined in a row on the shelf above the toilet. I familiarized myself with the women's perfume bottles and when I got home that evening I went online searching for something different for her.
