Left with Perfume Fragrances |

My girlfriend took a good amount of time off work to venture home for a wedding, her sibling’s graduation and to help her mom out with work. She will be gone for around a month and it is going to be a little bit weird not to see her every day. She did leave me with something to remember her. Not intentionally. Her women's perfume is soaked into a couple of my pillows. I never noticed it when she was there but now that she’s gone the faint smell of a sweet women's perfume keeps her close by. Obviously, I can still talk with her on the phone or video chat so it is not really a big deal she left. I just thought it was sort of cool to still be reminded of a significant other in a random way.
It goes to show how powerful fragrances for women can be. Smell in general is engrained in us to be paired with an idea, memory, person or feeling. I don’t know what the scent’s name my girlfriend wears but I could pick it out of a blindfolded smell test.
